Fred Skill Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 19, 2009.
Fred Harley Skill, age 59, a resident of Oklahoma City, went home to meet his Savior Jesus Christ on July 14, 2009. He was born on December 15, 1949 in Long Beach, CA. He is survived by his loving wife, of 34 years, Cindy; and one precious daughter, Nicole, and her fiance, Philip Tizzio. He is also survived by two brothers: Lynn Neitzel and Gary Skill. Fred worked for 36 years as an electrician/operating engineer, but his main passion was his family. His interests included restoring antique radios, creating stained glass, cooking, treasure hunting at garage sales, and vacationing in the Rocky Mountains. Fred loved helping people and could fix anything. He was the "Ultimate Handyman." Fred's personality was one-of-a-kind; he was kind, gentle, and very artistic. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at Heartland Church in Norman, OK on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to Heartland Church Building Fund.

Cindy and family, I'm so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I hope you remember me, I bought your home on Madole Blvd 20yrs ago, Aug 1989. Your little girls room was done in Care Bears!! I still love my home, it has been very good to me!! I have sense gotten rid of the pool though. You will be in my prayers.

Cindy and Nicole, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband and father, the loss is also felt by those of us who called him 'friend'. The last time we had spoken he'd called to see about going to lunch, but at the time I was working in Byng, and in his way he figured that a bit far to drive for lunch. My regret is not finding time for that lunch. My God be with you during this time.
