Dear Clara and family,
Rhonda and I were saddened to hear about the passing of Pastor Stark but know he is in a better place right now. I fondly think back to the many years at St. Matthew Lutheran in Calgary - I recall Pastor Fred as an excellent teacher and preacher of the Word. He was truly a man of God! He will be greatly missed!

We share your sorrow but also your joy in knowing that Pastor Fred is with His beloved Lord...the place that he always spoke of to us. We have very many fond memories of Pastor's teachings which were always interesting and passionate. Pastor Fred was what I would call a "real" Christian. He lived his faith every day by example and that's what I'll remember. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Clara, Linda, Reg & families:
I was saddened to hear of Fred's passing, and pray that the Lord would comfort you with the assurance of the Resurrection -- as Fred believed. I was truly privileged to have know him when I vicared at St. Matthew (1985-1986). May the Lord bless and keep you all. You are in my prayers.

A Tribute To Fred:
I remember Pastor Stark as an exegetic preacher. He did not talk about the Word of God; he explained it, as few pastors do. Here is a word of Jesus, that speaks for itself, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live."
See you then.

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy in the passing of Rev. Stark. I first met him when he first became a paster at St. Matthew Luthern Church.

Mrs.Stark, Reg,Linda & Family,
Romans 12:15
Rejoice with those who rejoice & mourn with those who mourn.
I grew up with Pastor Stark Baptizing me as an older child & Confirming me at St.Matthew. I was always surprized & amazed with his sense of humor & the stories he shared & told. Pastor was of the old school & did not seem to be interested in new technology in his Ministry. God had given him a gift of just knowing who everyone was & knowing what needed to be done. I have fond memories of being able to approach Pastor & feeling comfortable in talking & sharing with him. Pastor taught us that we will all meet again, in His time, in perfection.....together with our Lord. Pastor Stark was a good & faithful Servant. May God hold you & your family in the comfort of His arms.

Pastor Stark in a quiet way was certainly a great pillar of strength to all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

Dear Mrs. Stark and family,
Our thoughts are with you at this time. We had the privilege of having Pastor Stark perform many, many of our baptisms, marriages and funerals in our families since 1956. He was always a comfort to everyone who met him and he touched all of our lives.

While I am saddened hearing that Uncle Fred has moved on, as a Christian, I can never take that news without celebrating a graduation. With the small glimpses I've had of crossing over, I can only say that it is worth everything to make that your goal, and Uncle Fred did. He is enjoying no pain, lots of sunshine, warmth without mosquitos, no blizzards, and some truly great company for fellowship now. If we asked him if he'd rather come back, I'm sure he'd say "You'll love this place, so I'll wait here."
Words can never tell what good things are laid up in store for us there, by a loving Father. Uncle Fred spent his life telling others that simple story, and he is reaping the reward for all that work now. This is the reward. We miss him, but don't cry for him. He is a happy man right now. He is waiting there for us.

I knew Uncle Fred as a kind, gentle, quiet & loving man who focused his life on God and his family. Although we never had the opportunity to become acquainted as adults, I've followed his career at a distance for decades, with awe & respect. My Dad Clarence Kuhnke, who departed this Life in 1993, will give Fred the guided-tour of Heaven while they await the eventual arrival of the rest of our Family.
