Fred passed away peacefully at the age of 81. He had Parkinson Disease for 25 years and died from its complications.

Fred was born and raised in Lynden, WA. After graduation he joined the Air Force and was mainly stationed in Wichita, Kansas. His job was keeping the airplanes in excellent flying condition. With his honorable discharge he heard The Boeing Co. was hiring. He was immediately hired starting in 1956. For the next 34 years he worked as a mechanic working in different locations finally ending up at the Renton plant in final assembly of the wings.

After retirement Fred enjoyed many hobbies such as furniture making, green house early starts, gardening, fishing, bread making, soups made following the exact printed recipe, animals including rabbits and chickens and a love of dogs having several of his own.

Fred is survived by his wife of 55 years Peggy, sons Dennis of Port Orchard and Douglas of Renton. One granddaughter Ashlie Anna and many nieces/nephews in the Lynden area.
