Freddie Mosely Obituary
Rev. Dr. Freddie Lee Mosely, 63, a resident of Houma and native of New Orleans, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Terrebone General Hospital in Houma.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Bell Baptist Church, La.1 in Raceland. Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. James Cemetery.
Rev. Dr. Mosely is suvived by his wife, Michelle Mitchell of Houma; his mother, Elvina Mosely of Houma; four sons, Calvin Mosely of Gibson, Freddie Mosely Jr. of Lake Charles, Stephen Mosely and Joshua Mosely both of Houma; three daughters, Bretlan Warrell of New Orleans, Stephanie Mosely and Deannea Mosely of Houma; a sister, Doreen Mosely Francis of Patterson; and seven grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theolopus Mosely; and three brothers and three sisters.
Rev. Dr. Mosely received a Bachelors Degree from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux and Doctoral Degree in Theology from Christian Bible College in Baton Rouge. He was an instructor at the Christian Bible College in Houma, and employed at the Department of Interior for 32 years, Federal Inspector for the Gulf of Mexico Region. He was also known as "Shut Them Down Freddie" or "Shut In Freddie". Rev. Dr. Mosely was also an Assistant Pastor at New St. Matthews Baptist Church in Matthews.

My condolences to the Mosely Family. Remember that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal. Take all of you burdens to the Lord and leave them there. This was a really good man and who the offshore community will missed dearly. I met him some years ago while playing softball in the league and working offshore for Chevron. Freddie was a mentor to me in my young career with Chevron and he never gave me bad advice and I love him for that.....Thanks Freddie.....R.I.P Freddie, we'll coming one by one....James Triggs

To the Mosley Family you have my Deepest Sympathy, I remember Freddie from Elementary and High School, he was a funny, honest and caring person. I will truly miss his smile. Mosley Family I just loss my mother and sister within 29 days of each other and I really understand your loss. I would like to share something with you and your family, at my sister's funeral the Minister told us Sister Evelyn pass from our world seven days ago now she have walked seven days in Heaven without pain or suffering. She is now seated at the Throne of Grace with a big smile, he said I know you will miss her but God LOVED her more. The same for Freddie, he is now a ANGEL in HEAVEN and finally at PEACE without any ACHES or PAIN. I pray God will ease your pain and sorry. You and the family will always carry Freddie in your HEART, when you get lonely just think of all these happy times and he will be right there. Freddie Lee Mosley REST IN PEACE in the arms of CHRIST.
