A great Outlaw, so respected, a sad loss, loved Freddie's contributions to this iconic band, met him in N.E. in '81, a gentleman. Rock on Freddie, Billy and Hughie- dial it up, Green Grass and High Tides Forever! You'll never be forgotten.

I saw the Outlaws featuring Freddie Salem sometime around 1981 at the Silo venue at Reading, PA. They rocked the house down. I particularly remember Freddie's searing solos. That night I found a $20 bill on the floor at the bar and things turned around for me to this day. Rock on Freddie!

It was very sad to see that Freddie passed. He was such a great guy. I worked at Gibson Guitar for 10 years in Kalamazoo and the last two, I was Director of Artists relations and that's when I became friends with Freddie. I'm writing a book on my Gibson experiences and about a year and a half ago, I interviewed Freddie and I've talked to him a few times since. I know besides all of his musical accomplishments, he was very proud of his son. I'll be thinking about him!
