I will always remember Fred as a wonderful friend to my parents who holds a special place in my heart. He always impressed me with his generosity, kind heart and a smile for everyone.

It is an honor to have known Fred and Betty for 25+ years. Fred volunteered weekly in my 1st/2nd Grade classroom at Barton Open. Betty often painted beautiful, detailed pictures of butterflies for the class, as we were raising and studying the life cycle. Fred's smile, upbeat encouragement and dedication were inspiring, not just for the kids. His gold Mickey Mouse watch encouraged learning to tell time. He taught hundreds of kids the value of the coins, how to group them and count up totals. I'm grateful for his guidance and for the model he provided. May he rest in peace.

Fred´s smile lit up a room - a wonderful characteristic he passed on to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. May he rest in peace.

My family is so sorry to hear of Mr. Beier's passing. So many fond memories on Garfield Ave So. as neighbors and his friendliness/kindness. The block parties on warm summer nights, shoveling out after the snowplows came past, discussing politics and whatever crisis was at hand. My mother sends her prayers. Much light your way as you navigate his loss. Jenny Doyle and Doyle Family

As Fred and Betty's neighbor I wanted to add a remembrance. Fred was a welcoming and kind man whom we met almost immediately after moving in. My husband and I were so happy to have such lovely and considerate neighbors living next door. Fred was a humble and unassuming man who was gracious in every encounter. After my husband passed away last year both he and Betty were thoughtful in helping me thru my grief. I will miss Fred's smile and conversation and will think of him. My sympathies to the entire family. Best wishes and condolences. Sigrid Plenge

There are many memories from our time in Minneapolis and Colorado ski trips. One that stands out is the ski trip Fred, Dan Sweeney and I took to Big Sky, Yellowstone, Tahoe and Jackson Hole.
