Frederick Davis Obituary
Frederick Douglas Davis of Bryan, Texas 56 passed on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, November 14, at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Sylvester Smith, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
Frederick D. Douglas was born on June 2, 1955 in Bryan, Texas, to George W. Bryant and Lilliebelle C. Davis. He graduated from Bryan High School. Fred was a member of New Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lilliebelle C. Davis; his grandparents, James A Davis, Sr. and Lillie Bell Davis; brother, Cedric Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice McCain Davis; sons, Jaquares Davis, Frederick R. Davis, Frederick Caldwell, all of Bryan; Korey Davis of Austin; daughters, Toi Davis of Bryan and Michelle Davis of Schaumberg, Ill.; his father, Geroge W. Bryant and stepmother, Georgia M. Bryant; brothers and sister-in-law, Col. (Ret.) Charles E. Davis and Christella, of Killeen, Kenneth Davis of Bryan; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Mitchell Johnson, Stephanie and Raymond Burns, all of Bryan, Teresa and Ray Reed, Felicia Bryant, Maltrice Bryant and Connie Davis, all of Houston; six grandchildren, an a host of other relatives and friends.

I miss you sooo much. I know we didn't get to spend alot of time together but I know we were always thinking of each other. I miss the texts you would send me on any given day just to say I love you niecey! Those meant alot to me and I will miss it. Know that we all love you and we are so greatful for them time that we had with you. And even though you're not with us anymore we are even more greatful in knowing that you are no longer suffering and you're resting in peace now. You will always be with me. To Charles, Eunice, Christella, and Family,
Fred will be be deeply missed. As family Fred and I were proud to call each other "Cousin." As a Classmate, we can't mention any of the guys in the Class of 1973, without calling Fred's name. The funeral was a beautiful celebration, and I know Fred was proud of how Eunice, you and the family organized it. It was one of the biggest and most well ordered funeral I have attended, and that says a lot about Fred and the entire Davis Family. God Bless each of you. Fred will be greatly missed.

I was shocked to hear the news. My heart is saddened, Fred was a very good friend to me throughout my childhood. I grew older and would see him in passing and he would always smile that BIG smile.
