Just wanted to add,I came into the Star Fleet world just for a brief time but was always so amazed how Fred ,all the Star Fleet and all the spouses were so down to earth and welcomed me at home parties or wherever. Hope Fred and Dave are having a good chat wherever they meet.Warmly,Lois

Dave, my late husband and I had some good times at KYC. Dave had many crazy, funny beer stories from Thursday Beer Nights with the Star Fleet Gang. I will be making a donation in Fred's honor and send my condolences to Barbara and Family.

Warmly,
Mrs. Lois Weber

I want to add that Fred had an amazing mind- I attended many of his seminars and presentations, and he supervised my master thesis. Any complex problem in Fred's classroom was by the power of his mind shown also to have beauty. He was a great teacher besides being a good man.

Fred was my mother's thesis supervisor when she was already in her 60s (Fred was a little younger). She had a lot of respect and affection for him, and I appreciated his belief in her. Thanks, Fred, and my condolences to your family.

My sincere condolences to Barbara, Marina and family, Fred was somebody I often thought about over the years but unfortunately our paths didn't cross much in recent times. I first met Fred back in 1970 when we were both getting new Star Boats built by Carl Peterson. We spent many a happy hour together working on our boats, drinking beer, solving the world's problems and then drinking some more beer. I'm going to miss Fred.

Fred was one of my favourite people @ KYC. He could sail a boat very fast but was next to useless in a boat race!!
