My deepest sympathy to the family at the loss of a great man. He was one of my teachers at Auburndale Jr. High and I have to say he was one awesome man as well as a great teacher. I remember him monitoring the hallway and he always had a kind word and a smile to the many lives he touched. May God Bless you all during this loss but he maybe gone but not forgotten.

Mr. Gebhard was a true educator. He told me during one of our many help sessions, that Rome was not built in a day, and neither would my understanding modern math, and not to give up. That one statement would eventually give the courage to attempt jobs that I would use this math. I have thought of you often over the years. Thanks for pushing my Mr. G.

Mr. Gebhard was one of the finest teachers I ever had. What a fine example to middle school students! He truly influenced my life! I wish our society had more teachers like him today!

My sincere condolences to the Gebhard family. Mr. Gebhard was one of my favorite teachers. He was tough, but fair. He expected excellence. He was one of my teachers who inspired me to go into education. May the true peace of the Lord comfort all of his family. Thank you Mr. Gebhard for being such a great role model and example! You will be missed.....

Mr. Gebhard was my 7th grade math teacher at Auburndale Junior High. During that year, he taught us the new "Modern Math", or, as it known now, Algebra.

Mr. Gebhard was a kind man and a very good teacher. He was the only person who realized I needed glasses...this by simply watching me and seeing my test scores drop (he wrote quizzes on the chalkboard). When my scores dropped, he moved me to the front row, saw the difference, and wrote a note to my mother..."Mrs. Brown, I think Tommy needs glasses."

While that might not seem a big deal to most, it changed my life! I could see again and my grades improved in all classes.

Sometimes it isn't the big things that make a man great...it is how his actions have a positive impact on others. In my book, Mr. Gebhard will always be a great man...thank you, kind sir, for all you gave to the new generations!
