I guess I'm a little late in hearing of your passing and sad to learn of this today. You believed in me all those years ago, when it seemed no one else in the room did and this is something that I have never forgotten and have often thought about over my subsequent years of playing. Rest in peace my friend

My sympathies to father Fred Gifford, Jr, who was my Dodge representative for several years when I was in Gardner, Mass. I am saddened that you have lost your son, so young. My thoughts are with your family.

I am so sorry to hear about Fred. He was our Dodge representative for our funeral home. We always looked forward to his visits. Whenever he came in, we'd end up chatting for a good hour. I first met him when I was still in high school years ago, before I attended funeral school. He always helped me when I was first starting out and I owe a lot of my knowledge of embalming to him. I'm truly going to miss him. He was such a wonderful man.

Dear Gifford Family: John & I are saddened to hear today of Fred's death via a letter from Dodge. We wept when we opened it. He was just here at our funeral home in Massachusetts a few days before his passing. We have always thought of him as a friend, not a salesman, and his kindness and gentle nature always came through to all who met him. We will miss him. Please know that we will keep Fred, and all of you, in our prayers.

We are shocked and saddened by the news of Fred's passing. We are truly going to miss his visits. He was always available at a moments notice; our memories of his time here will be treasured.

I knew Fred through his music which he happily shared with our church. He was a quiet, sincere and loving man, and the members of the Senior Choir will miss his wonderful voice and his special message.
