Please accept my most sincere condolences. I had the honor of having Mr. Graves as my English teacher at Plantagenet HS. He was one of my favourite teachers, and he always had a moment for his students at any given time. He introduced me to a new point of view regarding litterature and expanded my interest in history with his first hand knowledge on a number of key points in history and his living through those times. A truly remarkable man who left his own mark on history and the lives of those he touched.

Mr. Graves was my 11th grade English teacher in the 1980’s. There are two things that I’ll always remember about him – his pet spider and the fact that he introduced me great contemporary literature with Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. My sincerest condolences.

I have so many fond memories frow the 60's and 70's that go back to growing up in Rothwell Heights, skiing at Camp Fortune, and fun times at Mont Ste Marie with the whole Graves family.

Please accept my most sincere condolences. I had the honor of having Mr. Graves as my English teacher at Plantagenet HS. Mr. Graves has made a lasting impression, so that some 40 years later I still attribute my love of litterature to his teaching and remember him every time I enjoy a book or a play.

Susan,Philip,Richard and Jennifer.
I am so sorry for your loss.We are the product of our life experiences.
My life is richer because Ted took an interest in my development.I will always cherish the time spent with your family. He showed me how to face life's trials and tribulations with a grin and to never quit. We should celebrate his life and the lessons he taught us. He will always be remembered.

Connie and family,
I have so many memories of Ted, Connie and family that I could fill volumes. Some include skiing, windsurfing, putting in a window, watching movies, building a bike frame, the rowing shell in the field, the horse trailer, Bugeye, art, and of course the garage full of skis and stuff. It is sad to loose a husband and a father, however he touched so many lives and shaped so many futures through his actions that I am grateful to have experienced the thrill of Ted and family.

As a former ski team member I am remembering the era that was ours on the ski team. I know how difficult it is to loose ones father having experienced the loss myself. While I did not know your father - he sounds like a wonderful man. My sincere condolonces. Andree Vajda Janyk

I car pooled with Ted my first years of teaching at PHS and he was the best mentor a young teacher could ever have had. His knowledge in all areas amazed me! He inspired me with his stories and instilled in me the importance of family. I was a pretty good skier but then, on a ski outing with the school, Ted showed me what alpine skiing was all about!
Ted did not only excell at skiing, his knowledge and skills were outstanding in many areas. Thank you old friend. I have kept all the hand painted Christmas cards he ever sent me. My thoughts are with his family.

I remember "Mr Graves" very fondly from many encounters and experiences at Camp Fortune in the 60's and 70's. He touched a great many people through skiing and teaching and I'm sure through the many other aspects of his life. His memory will be held in the highest esteem.

I will remember them.

Dear Connie and Family,
Yet another glowing accolade from a Hull High alumnus.
I too fondly remember Ted as one of our more gracious gentleman teachers.
Soft-spoken, but obviously well-informed on just about any subject under the Sun that interested him.
He struck me as a man with great empathy for others.
Now that I've read the family's tribute to this man, and have learned that he served in 415 Squadron Bomber Command, endured time as a POW - I can see how his innate empathy was honed by the great teacher, Experience.
I never knew Mr. Graves other than as one of my teachers, except for your welcome appearances at our reunions.
Be assured that he will always have a warm spot reserved in my heart.

Dear Connie and Family,
Please accept our condolences on your loss. Ted taught many of us history at Hull High School, and the two of you later attended many of our Class of 1961 Reunions. Ted really enjoyed seeing his former students, and we all enjoyed seeing Ted again. Those were wonderful get togethers.
Ted added considerable depth and relevance to his history classes with his World War Two experiences. His teaching about the Industrial Revolution has stayed with me for fifty years, and I continue to draw upon this in my international consulting work on climate change pursuant to industrialization and carbon fuels usage.
I used to drop into the Art Gallery in Chelsea to chat with Ted, after sking or golf, and he was always very well-informed and engaging. His watercolours of the Gatineau were quite wonderful.
I did not know that Ted had been an Olympic oarsman. So many talents, so many accomplishments by one man!
Ted will always be remembered for his gracious manner, sense of humour, his many insights, and his many accomplishments.
May God rest his soul.
Sincerely,
Philippe Roy,
Hull HIgh School, Class of 1961.

A very much liked and respected teacher at Plantagent High School, Mr Graves was my English teacher for three years in the late 60's. He was one of those teachers that you remember fondly. I can still see him sitting on the corner of his desk, book in hand and a smile on his face. My sympathy for your loss.
