I worked with Fred in Inuvik at CNT/NWTel, some regarded him as a tough taskmaster, but I learned to enjoy his sense of humour.

I am sad to hear of Fred's passing. He was great guy to work with and a good friend. I worked with Fred from 1965 to 69 for NWTel on the two streaks of rust heading north (The landline). We will miss him.

Although Fred and I crossed swords many times during my CN/NW Tel days in Inuvik - his counsel was always respected. We had the good fortune to meet Clairette and wish to send our heartfelt sympathies to a very nice lady. As well as to everyone who shared a role in Fred's family. May the memories and shared stories cushion the loss of a pretty good guy.
