As a child, I would ride my bicycle to visit Fred's daughter, Lucia. She and I would play vinyl records in her room, coming out only to raid the refrigerator or have dinner with the family, and then Fred would always, graciously agree to drive me home, bicycle in tow. Fred and Dolly made me feel welcome in their home. Lucia and I are still close friends 35 years later. This is only one tiny example of the gifts Fred leaves behind on earth. His beautiful children, grandchildren, friends and family are in our thoughts and prayers.
