FREDERICK M.
Age 79, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on May 6, 2017. Fred was born in Pittsburgh, eldest son of the late Jack and Esther Naatz. Fred was a wonderful man who loved and deeply cherished his wife, children and their families and all of his friends. His greatest joy was hosting their frequent visits, playing cards and games and enjoying lively conversation. He was a master mixologist and champion swimmer. Everybody loved Fred. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Fred retired from Insulators Local 2, worked for the US Postal Service and served in both the US Air Force in Okinawa, Japan and as a Sergeant in the Air Force Reserve. Fred was preceded in death by siblings, Sandra Lubomski, Maxine Rizzo, David Naatz and son, Patrick McCroskey. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carol E. Naatz "Cat"; sister, Myrna Huwe (Bing) of Pittsburgh; brother-in-law, Larry Lubomski, of Glenshaw; daughter, Diane Baum (Ben) of Pittsburgh; son, Fred Naatz, Jr. (Sharon) of Fishers, IN; grandsons, Gabriel Magnuson of Chicago, IL, Michael Magnuson of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Rachel Ebbert (Mike) of Pittsburgh; and great-granddaughter, namesake, Winifred; In addition, he is survived by son, James McCroskey (Tina) of Chautauqua, NY; daughters, Kellie Jaquez (Marty) of San Diego, CA, Dr. Lynda L. McCroskey of Huntington Beach, CA, Lisa Toudouze (Billy) of San Antonio, TX, Jennifer McCroskey of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Jason Perkins (Courtney) of Pittsburgh, Nicole Jaquez of San Diego, Casey Jaquez of Washington, D.C., Sean McCroskey of San Diego, Connor McCroskey of San Diego, J.C. McCroskey of Chautauqua, NY, Sanders Toudouze of San Antonio, TX; and four great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be privately held. As is his wish, Fred's ashes will be ceremoniously spread over Chautauqua Lake, NY and into the winds of South Dakota. Arrangements personalized by the ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC. So sorry to hear about Fred's passing. I always looked forward to seeing him on the front porch during the day. He always had a smile and a wave when ever I saw him. He will be greatly missed. We will be praying for your comfort during this time of loss.
