I enjoyed meeting Ted and working with him during my work at Clare College. Condolences to all his family and friends.

MARILYN PERRY, CHAIRMAN EMERITA, WORLD MONUMENTS FUND

January 27, 2023

As the steward of Paul Mellon's estate (and half-British himself) Ted Terry was an avid devotee of British heritage -- one of Paul's deepest passions -- and a long time sponsor of the work of the World Monuments Fund in Britain. He and Barbara were also deeply engaged with the annual Paul Mellon Lecture of the World Monuments Fund in New York City. He is remembered with deep gratitude and warmth.

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Terry. I learned so much from him as a junior associate at Sullivan & Cromwell. His knowledge, wisdom and kindness were abundant and generously imparted to all of us fortunate to work with him and get to know him.

Ted Terry will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues who admired him and enjoyed his company. Ted was a highly respected leader of the trusts and estates bar and the chairman of the Trusts and Estates Gift Committee for Rockefeller University which became the gold standard for philanthropic institutions. A life well lived indeed.
