FREDERICK C. WALSH

WALSH, Frederick C. Jr. Age 81, of Mashpee, formerly of Charlestown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 22, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Penelope L. Walsh and son of the late Frederick C. Walsh, Sr. and Margaret Gordon and his step-mother Virginia Walsh.

Fred graduated from Medford High School. He served in the United States Army National Guard. After moving to Cape Cod he became a parishioner at Christ the King Church. He enjoyed painting, photography, watching sports and reading. He was also an avid golfer who belonged to the "Bog Frogs" of Quashnet Valley Country Club. He also loved coaching baseball in Peabody and Mashpee. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

In addition to his loving wife Penelope Walsh of 60 years, Fred is survived by two children, Michelle Richmond of Mashpee and Frederick C. Walsh III and wife Kimberly of Memphis, TN; two sisters Virginia O'Neill and Deborah McDonald; his brother Michael Walsh, four grandchildren Tanner, Jack, Joseph, and Dana; his dog Peanut; and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held at Chapman Funeral and Cremations, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Rte. 151), MASHPEE on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm. A Funeral Service will follow at Christ the King Church, 5 Job's Fishing Rd., Mashpee at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Great Neck Woods Cemetery in Mashpee.
