Fredrick J. Gillespie

Gillespie Fredrick J. Gillespie, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. He was a member of Madam Russell United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dortha "Dot" Gillespie. Survivors include two nephews, Rocky Gillespie of Beckley, W.Va., and Steve Gillespie of Saltville; brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Cahill and wife, Reba, of Saltville; and special friend, Jake Gillespie of Saltville. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Petty and the Rev. Bill Cahill officiating. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday prior to the services. Honorary pallbearers were A.T.
