Valerie Bidwell (Puymon)

I just learned about the passing of Gail. How so very, very sad. My brother Richard Bidwell worked under Gail at Emily Carr. Richard passed away in 2010 and spoke of Gail as one of the brightest and kindest ladies. I met her many years ago and again at Richard's memorial and was so impressed with her wit and beauty within. Rest in Peace Gail.

I am utterly shocked and saddened to learn of Gail's passing. I knew her during my time at Emily Carr fourteen years ago, she was one of the greatest inspirations ever! She was the most knowledgeable, supportive and amazing person I had the pleasure of knowing. May the spirit of Godzilla live on!!! Rest in peace, Gail, I will never forget you, and we'll see you again someday!!!

It is with great sadness to find of her passing. I have been living abroad for ten years and had lost contact with Gail before leaving Canada. We met in Calgary where she was with the grounds and I was in the works department. She was typically the only woman in her dept! That was 1975. We fell in love and moved to Vancouver together the following year as she wanted to attend Emily Carr. We lived together for seven years. She was an amazing person. So sad now. I had just google her because I had just found out through google that a mutual friend had died. And I find out they have both passed. So sad.
