Grief waxes and wanes from within,or when prompted by a memory of the most mundane thing. It pops up when you experience something you and your Mum shared ,but now without her. Mother's day/Father's Day-it was several years before I could go near the cards in stores around those celebrations. I'd get so teary and choked up I'd have to walk away. The first new car I bought after dad died(he loved a new car!) I dreampt, so realistically, that we went for a ride together along a lake and through the woods. Just taking the Millinocket /Medway exit was hard for a while.
Over time it changes ,gets easier ( not so surprising to have sharp moments of utter grief), but missing them never goes away. You will always wish she could be there with you to share and know about events in your life. This is hard .It is part of our lives. We miss those we loved and were loved by- and that is a good thing.
Love you all even if we do not see each other. Stay in touch.

Jimbo, Jennifer, Rob, Bill and families -
I love this picture of your mother; she's smiling and laughing. Oh, how she loved a good laugh! She was so incredibly loving and good to me...even after I ate her paper table cloth! (Actually she got pretty mad at me at that point.) LOL! I'll miss you terribly Gail. Love, Chris Emerson

Cuz Gail will be remembered for her wonderful laugh, her beautiful babies she let me hold and care for, her love for my parents and all of our family.
Gail was one of my 6 "older"cousins-all girls.I was amidst the other 9 cousins and siblings-all boys. The older girls were so much more intriguing with boyfriends, ballgowns, showers, weddings, and babies!
We have lost a third dear cousin. She will be missed and lovingly remembered.

Jennifer, Bill, Jim, Rob and families,
My sincerest sympathy for your loss. She was truly a most giving and smiling angel. Loved growing up next to her on Ohio Street. She was always there in times of crisis and always a smile and wave. I will miss her and I am sure your hearts are heavy right now. Rest in peace, Gail.
Love,
Joyce Harris
