GG and I met even before we got accepted to Presby when we stumbled into each other when we were applying to enter Presby...we were still in high school. GG was the only person I ever met who ate dessert BEFORE her main meal & could still eat her entire meal. She was VERY intelligent....I never saw her studying...and she LOVED to talk. She could make a friend in a minute.I will miss not being able to reach out and talk to her.

"GG" and I ran into each other in the halls of Univ of Pgh. Two high school girls who had to show up for an interview to see if we would be acceptable for entering into a nursing program. She was already an "item" with Dick..... who she married and was with until her death. GG was ALWAYS going at 100 mph! Her excitement, curiosity, zest to BE-THE-BEST! She would never leave work if something was not done to her satisfaction...at times she missed a meal if it meant she needed to be THE BEST and "do it right"! One of her traits.... she selected (and ate) her dessert BEFORE her main meal.... we thought she was crazy! But she was able to 'burn it off' with her energy & enthusiasm for whatever she was "into". My only complaint...... she taught me to smoke cigarettes... a very, very bad habit that took me a long time to break and left me with lung damage that persists to this day.... DO NOT FALL INTO THAT TRAP!

I have just heard of Gail's passing and send my deep condolences to her family.
I met Gail some years ago when we shared a cabin on a cruise around South America. We became friends even though I live in Vancouver, Canada. She introduced me to AARP and we went to their annual conventions all around the States every year. What a fun time we had. We also went on a bus trip to Nashville and Memphis together. I visited her in St. Petersburg and had a wonderful time. I will miss her a lot for the fun and laughter we shared over the years. RIP Gail
