It is with deep sadness to hear the passing of a wonderful lady. I worked with Gail for a number of years but it was her words of encouragement that I will always remember as with her smile. You will be sadly missed.

Heard the news tonight during the Flames game. The lights in the Saddledome will dim a little with Gails passing. She was everyone's mother & good friend. Condolences to her sons & family. Regards, Linda Bozak

I heard tonight on the Flames game of Gail's passing. How sad! I had 10 great years at the Dome, mostly vending, but helping wherever I could. Gail was a great overall leader.

"Some people are so much sunshine to the square inch"

When I think of this quote I cannot think of a better individual that encompasses these words. Gail was a ray of sunshine and happiness in a world that struggles to be these things.

I worked with Gail at the Calgary Flames for a number of seasons and from the moment I met her I fell in love with her. Her warmth and acceptance was indescribable and everyday I spent with her I felt honored. Gail always made me feel loved and appreciated. Even after I left the Flames I was lucky to see her over the years and each encounter I had with her always began with a big hug, an exchange of positive words, and a genuine interest in my life. Our encounters always ended the same way to; a big hug, an exchange of "I can hardly wait to see you again", and always the infamous "when are you coming back to the Flames". It always made my heart happy to know she thought of me as I thought of her and it always made me happy to know that I was missed by such a wonderful individual.

I am lucky that I got one last hug and one last moment with her a few months ago; I've always cherished our encounters and our last one will be one I can hold onto forever.

My sincere condolences to Gail's family during this very difficult time. But always know how much she meant to so many people. She was the most wonderful lady and touched so many people in so many ways.

Gail you will be greatly missed by many and I will always cherish the relationship you and I shared.

Love always
Kristen

I am so saddened by the news of Gail's passing. I met her when I was still soo young working at the dome. She was one of the nicest people that I knew, always had a smile on her face no matter what. I just can't believe that she is gone I have known her for such a long time, she was like a sister, mother and grandmother for all of the staff. She will be greatly missed, I will be praying for her family and that they heal from the pain.

I would like to say how sorry we are to hear about Gail's passing. I worked with her at The Saddledome about 25 or more years ago & I really loved her. She made working with her so easy.

Was so very sorry to hear of Gail's passing. We are cousins of Gail but lived in Thunder Bay, Ont but never really knew each other. I met Gail when I I went to a Pavarotti performance at the Saddledome with aunt Alice and Uncle Frank Neufeld and had supper in a dining room with her and met her brother who was manager. Please accept our condolences and know we are all thinking of you at this sad time. Gail's mother and my mother Elsie were sisters and we are her four daughters. I am sorry none of us are close enough to attend the services but just know we will have you in our thoughts. These thought are from Joyce Foy, Linda Kennedy , Wendy Wilson and myself Shirley Sheehan. I have a son living in Calgary who is a professor at Mount Royal University. I would like to express my condolences to Gail's family and friends. She was a truly wonderful lady that I have had the pleasure of knowing for my 13 years at the Saddledome. Her smile when greeting us by name (with or without our name tags) lit up a room as did she. Please know how loved and respected she was as a true matriarch at the Saddledome and how many lives she has enriched over her 3 decades of service there. I feel like we have lost a wonderful member of all our families. Thank you all for sharing her with all of us. Bob
