To Gail's family, So sorry for your loss, She was such a gracious & kind person. The last time I saw her was at uncle Bascomb Waterfield's funeral in Nashville, Tn. We visited & traded family stories tho not enough time to catch up on everything. Again, I miss my mom, Kathryn Thomas Lockhart & know how it hurts to lose Gail. Sincerely, James Thomas Lockhart [email protected]

Dear Ed, Edwin and David, I was in California visiting and could not make Gail's funeral. It is with deepest sympathy I write this. Your mother was one of a kind who left an indelible impact on everyone she met. When I think of her a smile immediately comes across my face. She never spared a hello or good-bye and she never spared her thoughts and opinions. You always knew where she stood, which is so refreshing in a world that must be always politically correct. I feel it is a priviledge to have know your wife and mother and to call her a friend. The planet is just a little less bright with her passing. Much love to your family, Pam

Ms. Thomas taught me at A.G. She was supportive of all abilities and she encouraged great things by providing out of the ordinary materials. I enjoyed sawing ebony and sterling silver with a coping saw to make jewelry. Woodblock prints were also a favorite.
As an adult, I am sorry that I never knew Gail Peacock in Wilmington. Thank you for giving me the chance to learn more about her. M. Stanley

Gail's passing is indeed sad. Her vibrant personality manifested itself with a generous spirit and wonderful wit. Gail always said "it is 5 o'clock somewhere." If it's possible I believe she will still make it so. We miss her Wilmington sabbaticals. Knowing Gail and Ed has been a pleasure.

Fondly remembering visits on Gail's patio in Landfall. Great food, great drinks, great stories. No one could entertain like Gail. I always felt at home & hated to leave. That's how she made you feel! So cozy and welcome. I won't ever forget our good times together. Thanks for always making me feel special, when you were, in fact, the special one!!!

Gail was my "chemo buddy" for the past 3+ years at the Levine Cancer Institute. We would often sit side by side and talk about everything from politics to music to art to family. She was always working on some sort of art project while in the infusion center. I will miss our chats.
