Dear Steuart and Gigi
Two years ago we were mourning your dear sister Gail and her life. I know she will always be missed as your big sister and I hope her memories have become a comfort to you both. Her life at the end was long, miserable and painful and we can hope her death was peaceful and she is resting in peace. Keep hold of your memories forever. Love and friendship always.

I just found out about dearest Gail about an hour ago. I'm so sad to hear about her passing. We were coworkers at Bloomingdales and also friends. She was a kind , lovely, giving person. Words can't express how wonderful she was. All sympathy to Stuart and Gigi.

Dear Steu and Gigi
It is with a heavy heart that we write this note to you about Gail. We know that she was in grave trouble when we last meet and we are so sorry that she had to suffer so. It is hard for family to watch and have their hands tied. Know that you did everything you could to help ease her last few months, weeks and days. God bless her as she finds her way and God bless both of you for your kindness, help and love.

Dear Steu,
I am sad that I will not have the opportunity to spend more time with Gail. The occasions that we did share were so very enjoyable that I will certainly miss her in the future gatherings.
She and I shared an interest in many things, not the least of which were shoes! I certainly admired her taste in many things. But most of all I admired her for the way she fought the fight throughout her illness. She never let it affect her joy in each and every day. Her positive and optimistic attitude kept those around her from mourning her loss before she really left. In a way, that was her final gift to the ones she loved.
I have heard that people pass through our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. It is not the time we have but the footprint that we leave. Gail left footprints in many hearts and lives. Those footprints insure that she will live on in the stories and memories that we share about her when friends and family are together.
I can only hope that you will find comfort in sharing those memories with all of us who were not so lucky to know her as long or as well as yourself.
With great affection,
Amonda

The prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Your Loving Brother.

Gail,
You were an extremely remarkable person and it was my pleasure to be your neighbor these past 4+ years. I admired the way that you battled with your diagnosis, you were accepting, but you never gave up. I loved your resilience and fire that you had, even with any setback that you encountered, your response was always "I will continue to fight this". I admired and loved your indomitable spirit throughout all of this. You were an extremely strong person and will be greatly missed.

Gail, a sister of rare class who was loved and adored. A big sister always looked up to, whose strength was admired, and whose advice was sought during good and bad times. One of the greatest friends I've ever had; a guardian in disguise, laughter and even tears.
I cherish the memories over the years and know that you will be dearly missed. May God bless your soul and rest in peace until we meet again!
Your Loving Brother.

My dear Gail, last night I was making out my Thanksgiving cards and yours was on the top of the pile. This morning with sadness I read your obituary. I am not throwing the card away as I have put it in a safe place. You are the bravest person that I ever had the pleasure to know. Even through all of the treatments that you went through you forged ahead, always upbeat and smiling. Like lighting speed you attended to everyone who came to your counter at Estee Lauder. We were amazed and wondered how would we be if it were us. Your passing has only reinforced how fleeting life is and that we must enjoy every minute. I will miss you so much, love, Michele
