I got to know Gail at Longview Regional. She had one of those contagious laughs and smiles. She was such a kind and compassionate person and that showed in the care she gave her patients. To all of her family, I am so sorry for your loss. Not only will she be missed by her family, but her friends, colleagues, and co- workers. In time I pray that you will find comfort in knowing the loving impact she had in so many lives. You all have been and will continue to be in my prayers.

Jim &. Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Gail from 1979-1987. She was a mentor, a wonderful person & nurse. She cared for all of her patients as if they were her family. In 1983 I had the pleasure of Gail as my matron of honor @ my wedding. She was such a sweet & kind person.when I was nervous or afraid Gail was always there. I left Longview in 1992 to spread my wings & later worked @ UTMB in Galveston . We kept in touch thru my son .when I moved home in 2009 it was Gail that offered me a position @ GSMC. I told her I retired but we caught upon kids & grandkids. We always meant to get together & it just didn't happen. I will regret that. I hope that you all know how much she loved you & Jim she adored you. You truly were the love of her life. We will always miss her but I am so glad she is in God's hands & we all have another angel to watch over us. We will all miss her !

I didn't know Gail personally but my grandmother Sonja Jackson Juarez worked at Good Shepard for years as well as my mother Lynn Adkins. I was born at Good Shepard. My grandmother, mother and myself were and still are nurses and it really hits home when something like this happens to a fellow nurse. We all love what we do and try our best to care for others like we do our own. Prayers going out to the family and friends of Ms. Gail. Our hearts go out to you and yours.

Jim and Family
My thoughts and prayers are with y'all. Gail and I began our careers at GSMC in the old ICU. I will always remember Gail's incredible smile. She was great nurse and person. But most importantly, she walked daily with Jesus.

I first met Gail when she came to work at GSMC in 1978. She had a wonderful smile, contagious laugh, and was a very good nurse. At times we worked together as nurses and I saw how she caring she was. The last few years I have had OP procedures and was a recepient of her care.My heart goes out to you, her family, and I have been praying daily for you. Only the Lord can give you comfort and He will.

Our prayers are with your family at this sad time. I wanted to tell you how thankful my husband and I were to meet Mrs Gail in June. Our son Brannon had surgery were she worked. He was very nervous about having surgery that morning. She went above and beyond to make him feel at ease. She was truly an angel.

I've known and worked with Gail many years. She was a great nurse but a most fine person that knew who she was in Christ. She loved her God, family and patients. If you spent anytime with her at all, you knew where her heart was. What better testimony could there be? I'll look forward to catching up with her one of these days.

Throughout the past years, I have needed numerous procedures done at G.S.M.C. outpatient facility all of which required me having an I.V. and being put to sleep. Nurse Gail was one of the most caring and thoughtful caregiver's I have ever encountered since I have been sick for the past 33 years. Nurse Gail did not have a job at G.S.M.C., instead she had a calling to help people.
I also have the privilege of knowing her sister Debbie, brother-in-law Mike and her mother Kay Stewart through our church. I know they are suffering this tremendous loss but they take comfort in knowing she is with her heavenly father Jesus Christ. May God richly bless all of her family members and her many friends
