Gail was such a sensitive and supportive friend and fellow pre school teacher. When Gail and Sandy Sample and I went out together we shared a lot of personal stories which filled us with laughter and brought us to tears. We used to laugh about all the cafes and restaurants we closed down with our long visits, figuring we better leave since they took the flowers off our table and started vacuuming around us. We also got into a lot of mischief together. Gail had a playful spirit . One day parents kept coming into my classroom and congratulated me on getting engaged. I didn´t know what they were talking about and I just laughed it off. But when I went to my car at lunch time , I found my car filled with balloons. And I mean filled- front and back! Gail was delighted by playing that joke on me. Gail did things like that often . And it brought joy, surprise and much laughter. And Sandy and I played many pranks on her too. I strongly belief that laughter brings us closer to God, yielding to the spirit and staying open to goodness and connection. I feel fortunate to have been so connected to Gail who had a fine skill in listening with such sensitivity and openness and with a lighthearted spirit. Now that Gail has joined Sandy Sample in the afterlife, I have a feeling that I am going to hear from those two mischief makers. With so much love, Nadine Zing!
