In memory of
Ronnie Day

He was the best CHP officer red bluff office ever had. Every time he pulled me over he would let me talk him out of a ticket. But when he came into my history class he made sure the whole class knew everything I had done and told them not to follow in my tracks unless they wanted lots of tickets lol.
So when he was on duty I made sure I showed him respect. We became good friends and had great laughs about how many times him and Ron Veach had pulled me over I will miss both of them.
My prayers for the family

I will always remember Gale walking briskly past my house when he was well into his eighties. If I was outside he would stop to chat. I got to know him better when we were on the Mineral County Water District Board together. Gale was a true Mineralite who brought much to our little community. He will be missed. My condolences to Vi and all his family.

Growing up I knew Gale as "the CHP guy", one of the good guys keeping us safe on the mountain. On extended shifts sometimes his wife and boys would come up and we all spent time socially. Those were good times. I later got to meet his 2nd wife and spent time visiting in Mineral, it was good to catch up. My prayer to the family as they walk a new path without him.

I took Uncle Gale to the US Marine Ball in Shasta County.... We shotgunned a beer together and enjoyed the Marching Bagpipes playing the national anthem and the marine hymn. Being a Navy veteran he fit right in and we had a laugh and a lesson. I always admired his family and how loyal he was to his brother and his kids and grandkids. Cheers uncle Gale. You will be missed!
