Garfield loved to hunt, fish, snowshoe, garden and just be outside in nature. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Cary Seniority Program. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather and friend, and he especially loved family get-togethers, and he will be sadly missed. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 65 years, Mary Edwina Wright of Caribou, are his two daughters, Nancy L. Wright Beaver of Woodland and Ellen M. I have such wonderful memories growing up...dad and mom were the best parents. He was hard working, a dedicated husband, father and role model for my sister and I. I want to THANK each and every person for your kind words and prayers. Life is a blink and I will see dad again in the next blink. God Bless you all.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, So he put his arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away. Although we loved you deeply, we could not make you stay. Your Golden Heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best <3 your granddaughter Kimberly
