Garnet GIBSON Obituary
Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday January 14, 2015, Garnet Gibson in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Myers). Dear father of Marianne (Pierre Poirier) and Heather. Loving grandfather of Kayla. Brother of Eva Hartle and the late Mildred (late Leo Poirier) and Irwin (Merilyn). Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. (between Scrivens Dr. and Metcalfe corner) on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Monday in the Chapel for service at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Osgoode Presbyterian Church, Box 5 Metcalfe, On. K0A 2P0 would be most appreciated by the family.

I was thinking about the times Uncle Garnet took me to the local ball game, that was around 40 years ago but it's one of those things you never forget.

Dear Marilyn, I am so very sorry to hear about Garnet. My heart goes out to you and all of your family. He will be sorely missed. Garnet was so good to me when I started out as a new minister. He always set my mind at ease when I was worried. He was a tremendous support when things were rough and lightened the mood in meetings when some perspective was needed. He was a blessing to me. And I know he was a blessing to so many others.
May the grace and peace of Christ surround you and uphold you through this difficult and painful time. With much love,
