I loved him for his humor. He did bit parts besides his primary work as a producer and any line he said was always hilarious no matter how he delivered it.
His concept of humor along with how he portrayed it either in films, shows or in his side roles like in "Soap Dish" was unequaled to me.
I am sad he won't be here to create, delight and entertain us.
He made me roll with laughter. What a gift!!!
May he rest in peace and do the same in Heaven!!!

When I looked at the list of the shows Garry Marshall has worked on, I grew up watching all of them...first run. Happy Days is my favorite...when I met Mr. (Masciarelli) Marshall in 2012 at reading and book signing in Marin County; I was thrilled to talk about our Italian last names. He has been and continues to be an inspiration. The quality of his work and the enthusiasm for bringing laughter into the lives of people around the world has not and shares no equal...and I love that he included his family and family of friends in his film endeavors. He is missed. Thank you for everything, forever!

To all the Marshall Family- I had the great good fortune to work a one-day event with Mr. Marshall at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium when Northwestern University went to the Rose Bowl. His enthusiasm was a delight. His generosity and his great heart permeated everything he did. I have never forgotten that day and what a sweet and kind man he was and what a fun and funny time I had with him. He had a huge influence on me as a kid and then working together as adults. My sympathy to you all on your loss.

I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Marshall's passing. Although I never knew him personally, he struck me as a very kind and decent human being from what I read or saw in interviews over the years. Characteristics I think are very rare or hard to come by in his line of work where it is a dog eat dog business. For all of us, in the end we are not going to be judged on the material things that we had but judged on how we have treated others and the kind deeds we have done. I have a feeling Mr. Marshall passed this test...
Condolences to his family,

May the God of comfort bring you peace and may his promise give you hope. Rev. 24:3,4 And God himself will be with them. 4And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.

To Mrs. Marshall, and family,
Your husband, Gary, was an Icon, and his name will ALWAYS be associated," with laughter, pure fun, originality and courage." His creations and fine personality as a man, and genius for "creating," will be sourly missed. I am deeply sorry for your loss, and the loss your children must be feeling. I too share, your longevity with my husband, another fine man, and, he was also funny, and as I told him many times; " I am still married to you, Charley, because you make me laugh." I'm hoping that last comment will help, to make you smile again, at a much later date.......I am so sorry......With God above, I think, you were hopefully blessed, as I was. and you were married to a lovely man too, and he also, must have been very lucky, to have a woman as you. I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts n prayers go out to his family. He was a funny guy even without the camera. I kinda met him at the Danbury Fair Mall, ( I also saw Ron Howard there one time) anyway, I said " Your Garry Marshall!!" He said" What makes you think that?" n I said" You look just like him." He said " Yeah I get that a lot. I just think all us old men look alike." So I apologized n said something about how we see a lot of celebrities in this area. Then he said" You mean like.......right, now." He turned around laughing n walked away. I yelled " I knew it!" He yelled back" Don't give my secret away!" n continued walking. RIP Garry.
