I just received the news that you passed on to Dan Agatucci regarding Garth's passing. This makes me so sad. Garth and I became good friends during our time together in DUs at the U of I. My absolute condolences and best wishes for you, your kids, and your families.

Garth was such a great guy - hung out with him all four years at Illinois for our bachelors. Very sorry for your incredible loss!

I worked with Garth over the years in ASHRAE Technical Committee 4.4. He was chair of the committee from 2011 through 2013. Spending time with him twice a year and over the phone built a great friendship and many of the members of the committee feel a tremendous loss with Garth's passing. We talked on the phone often during his challenging times and I always found his strength remarkable. Garth's kindness was contagious. My sincere condolences to his boys, wife, and family.

It's rare to meet someone so thoughtful, kind, welcoming, exceedingly generous, and loving of life. Garth was exactly those things and he will be missed by us.

Growing up with Garth from Elementary School thru High School I was very happy to call him a friend. Our 20th HS reunion i was able to catch up with him and that is something I will cherish forever.. rest in peace my friend you were a class act

Although we did not know Garth very well, we commend his determination and strength to endure such a battle. His love for Amy, boys and families will be never ending and you will have been fortunate to have shared his life and wonderful memories forever. I knew Garth when I worked at RRJ a few years back. He was such a friendly yet professional person always ready with a smile. I will miss him and am saddened to think of him not being with us in this world. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

I will never forget playing soccer with Garth back in grade school. He had the most amazing smile. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Growing up, most of our summers were spent on Bancroft Court. Whether working on a classic car, building a deck or two, or making the 4th of July something hilariously fun, Garth was a part of a circle of childhood friends who will always remember him fondly.

I remember Garth hanging out with my brother Scott, and the others in their group of friends, and he was always so nice...all of those boys were.

Those days seem like forever ago...and I guess it kind of was in a way....but Garth...you were a wonderful person, and I am beyond saddened, to learn that your fight has ended.
