Dr. Brecher was our pediatrician for many, many years. Our children are now 43 and 41, but we all remember him fondly. He had a beach house near ours in Ocean City. One time when my daughter was sick while we were at the beach, he had us come over to his place so that he could help her. He was a very kind and gracious soul who will always live on in our hearts.

Something reminded me of Dr Brecher a little while ago. So I looked up his name and was sad to find this notice. He was our three sons´ pediatrician and one of the best doctors ever. Those sons are all in their 40s now. Even when our oldest was in college he insisted on seeing Dr. Brecher, who laughingly told him that he would have to fire him as a patient when he hit 21. He always went above and beyond and we were so lucky to have known him. Our sons join us in extending our deepest condolences.

I am stunned and so very saddened to read that Dr. B is no longer here. I did not know until today, 1-18-24. My son was his patient for over 18 yrs and we need his vaccination recs. Called today and could not believe after all this searching, this is what I discovered. What an amazing man he was. The care he showed was top notch, no better anywhere. Peace, Dr. B; we love you.

Dr. Beecher was wonderful to me as a brand new mom, and a great doctor to my children. My first born is now 37 and with three of her own. Sleep well, dear Dr. Beecher with much gratitude and respect. Janine and Rich Davy

Dr. Brecher was cared for and was loved by all three of my children. They are all grown now and two of them have children of their own. He was always our favorite doctor. Condolences to his family.

Dear Bobbi,
My sister lives in DC, saw Gary´s obituary in the Washington Post, and sent it to us, remembering that we were friends from many years ago. We enjoyed several trips to St. Thomas and Jamaica sponsored by the Pediatric Department from Long Island Jewish Medical Center and had lots of fun and laughs with you and Gary. One time we were en route from Williamsburg to DC with our (then) little girls and visited you at your home.
We´ve lived in Atlanta since 1987. I´m sorry that so many years have gone by and that we´ve lost touch, but please know that we think fondly of you and we are so very sorry for your loss. May Gary´s memory be a blessing to you and your family.

When Gary was in under grad school at Boston University, he would come to our house in Brookline from time to time. On one occasion for extra spending money, he washed the windows (inside only) .
Very fond memories of him living on Park St. Brookline doing his internship. The children were very young and I was particularly impressed at how he identified the parts of the children's bodies by their proper names. It inspired my wife and I to do the same.
White Meadow Lake, and Woodmere Knolls are very memorable.

How lucky you were to be a part of the life of such a likeable guy. Of the many attributes Gary had, the one I enjoyed most was his sincere likeability. However he felt the day you met, he was always glad to see you. What a wonderful trait.
