Mildred Piersol Sisk

Mildred Piersol Sisk of Coatesville Mildred Piersol Sisk, 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 03, 2014 at her home. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Myrtle Welsh Piersol and the wife of the late James Sisk, Sr. with whom she shared 45 years of marriage before his death in 1998. She was a life member of Olivet United Methodist Church, Coatesville. Mildred was a 1950 graduate of S. Horace Scott Senior High School. She enjoyed textile crafts and meeting other crafters at the numerous shows she attended. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, ladies auxiliary of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon and numerous fire company auxiliaries, including past president of the Modena auxiliary. She was politically involved for many years as Judge of Elections and was a past elected treasurer in East Fallowfield Township. She also volunteered for the local Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her children, Donna Cohen (Clifford) of Media, Lou Ann Miller of Coatesville, Ruth Walker (Dennis, Sr.) of East Fallowfield, James Sisk, Jr. (Suzanne) of East Fallowfield, Carol Whitney (late Robert), and Patricia Meloy (Eugene) Petersburg, N.J.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, James Piersol; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lois Piersol. Mildred's funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6th, at Wentz Funeral Home, 342 East Chestnut St., Coatesville 610-384-0318 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private in Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery.
