I met Gary in the fall of 1979, when he became assistant plant manager in St. Louis and I had just transferred in to be a member of the team designing 5 new plants for GM in the early '80s. Wentzville MO was one of those plants. I worked the startup of the body shop equipment and conveyor systems while he became plant manager. We both graduated GMI in the late '60s. We "sorta" stayed in touch as he moved through the ranks. Our last meeting was at the Renaissance Center as the Volt was being unveiled and the National Corvette Museum led Corvettes of every year (we were 2003) from Bowling Green to Detroit to celebrate GM's 100th birthday. We caught up, hugged, took pictures, and were on our way. My wife and I have met, known, and worked with many leaders with GM. We both consider him one of the best.

Kay... I am so very sorry for your loss...so many memories of the four of us together... fireworks in the street, Cayman Islands, scuba diving for the guys, Las Vegas, GMI, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, golf and dancing. Heaven has a new Angel! Gary and Lynn are recalling those and many other memories once again.
You and your family are loved and in my prayers at this sad time. Linda Minger

Gary was a great example of fraternity brotherhood and zeal in Sigma Alpha Epsilon at GMI/Kettering. Every time I see my "pledge paddle" I re-read the encouraging words he wrote; they spurred me to excellence and encouraged me to be a True Gentleman - and still do!

Gary and I lived a couple blocks apart and walked lot of places together. We went to grade school together at Bryant.
Gary was always kind and polite. I´m sure he was a good man. RIP my friend.

I went to grade school all the way through high school with Gary. We were neighborhood buddies playing baseball together as our dad´s coached one of the teams I played on with Gary. So sad to hear of his passing. I am proud to have known him. Not enough room here for the stories I could tell. RIP Gary.
