Gary Dalrymple Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 1, 2025.
Gary K. Dalrymple, age 74, of Robinson Township - formerly of Mt. Lebanon and Sugar Grove, PA - passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was the devoted husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" (Maravich) Dalrymple; a proud and loving father to his two children, Ryan (Marissa) Dalrymple and Rebecca (Andrew) Stone; and a deeply cherished PapPap to his four grandchildren - Adam and Olivia Stone, and Chase and Brady Dalrymple - who brought him endless joy. He was the beloved son of Margaret (Van Ord) and the late Allan James Dalrymple, and a caring brother to Larry (late Karen) Dalrymple and Kory (Wendy) Dalrymple. Gary is also fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives he touched.

A graduate of Eisenhower High School and Penn State University, Gary dedicated much of his career to healthcare, working at West Penn Hospital and later with Siemens Healthcare. His strong work ethic and commitment to helping others were hallmarks of his professional life.

Gary was a gifted athlete throughout his life. In high school, he excelled in football, wrestling, and track, and discovered a passion for squash in college. He continued to stay active over the years, enjoying tennis, golf, running, and bike rides.

He was a man of many talents - always ready with a toolbox in hand to fix anything around the house, the grill master of family gatherings (especially known for his famous lamb and salmon), and someone who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Gary had a calm, easygoing spirit, a sharp wit, and a kind heart. He lived with humility, humor, and grace, and was truly a gentleman in every sense.

Though there will be no formal visitation, family and friends are warmly invited to join us in celebrating Gary's life on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at The Club at Shadow Lakes, 2000 Beaver Lakes Blvd, Aliquippa, PA 15001, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. Food and drinks will be provided as we gather to remember and honor the life of a truly special man.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gary's memory may be made to CurePSP, a cause close to the family's heart.
