Gary Dwayne Dean, 72, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023.
He was born May 1, 1950 to James Fred Dean and Bessie Berthel (Adcock) Dean.
Gary worked at Big Dutchmen in Nashville, Arkansas, until his retirement. He loved fishing, hunting, riding backroads, listening to music and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents; his two sons, Junior and Gary Dwayne Dean, Junior; a grandson, Motley Axl Frueh; a granddaughter, Journi Kay Pittman; one great grandson, Carson Dove; his two brothers, James Dearl Dean and Daniel Ray Dean and one sister, Patsy Sue (Dean) Pipkin and a special niece Cindy Key.
He is survived by his three daughters: Kristy Kay Simmons of Sulphur, Louisiana, Vanessa Nicole (Brian) Fatherree of Glenwood, Arkansas and Wendy Nicole (Gary Stovall) Dean of Prescott, Arkansas; his six grandchildren: Sharrod Tollette of Orange, Texas, Cydney Simmons of Orange, Texas, Christopher Simmons of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kylie and Kyra Fatherree of Glenwood, Arkansas and his special grandson, Joey Pittman of Prescott, Arkansas; six great grandchildren: KK Tollette, Addy Tollette, King Tollette, Cason Dove, Caslynn Dove and Colson Dove, all of Orange, Texas; one brother, Terry Glen Dean of Nashville, Arkansas; one special sister, Judy Diane Sanders of Murfreesboro, Arkansas and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Glenwood, 209 North Third Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
