October 1, 1943 - April 21, 2016
Passed away peacefully at home in the loving arms of his wife and soul mate Helen. Father, mentor and best friend to Michelle and Jim Mitchell, Suzanne Kriz, Brian Pierre and Lisa and Paul Cusmanic. Predeceased by parents Nellie and Louise and siblings Vera and Terry, brother-in-laws Elie and Stan Seremack and sister-in-law Mary Fields. Fun loving and amazing papa to Neil (pookie) and Carly Mitchell, Justin Kriz, Taylor Kriz, Jasmine and Brent Cusmanic, Nadia Pierre and Kaile, Cory and Chris Putinta. Caring brother and brother-in-law to Elaine and Ronnie Lamont, Diane and Dennis Toth, Joseph and Gloria Dupuis, Ronnie and Elaine Dupuis, Jojo and Rossi Dupuis, Leonard and Julie Dupuis, Shirley and Leonard (deceased) Hannan, Bill and Olga Taylor and Ronnie Stannard. He also leaves behind many nieces, and nephews and friends. Gary worked for 42 years at National Rad. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and gardener. He loved fishing and visiting Quebec during the summer. He was a fun, loving, kind and generous man. He always made time to lend a helping hand. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him, raise a glass and make a toast. I would also like to thank Windsor Fire and paramedics, with special consideration for the captain of the crew that responded. They worked tirelessly to help my husband and I am grateful.
