He had served on the Washington Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment and Washington Animal Control.

Gary enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, four-wheeling, hunting and going to hunting camp. He especially liked time spent with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Grenier Farnham, of Washington; his daughter, Nicole Corine Weiss, and her husband, Eric, of Cedar Park, Texas; his son, Nathan Rudolphe Farnham, of Washington; two grandchildren, Archer and Finnegen Weiss; his siblings, Corine Wadkins and her husband, James, of Earlsville, Md., Denis Farnham and his wife, Karen, of Washington, Judith Salvatori and her husband, Gino, of Barre, Gerald Farnham and his wife, Sheila, of Washington, Debra Washburn and her husband, Jerry, of South Barre, Natalie Tarbox and her husband, Donald, of Barre, Vicky Lorden and her husband, Michael, of East Dennis, Mass., and Lisa Wilkin and her husband, Brian, of South Barre; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends may call at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sylvia & Family, and my cousins,
My thoughts have been with you at this time in saying 'goodbye' to Gary. He has touched onto others in so many ways like his teasing, funny statements, and thoughts of care. When thinking of Gary I remember him treating us younger cousins with a wamth and making us feel recognized and welcomed in the family crowd. Keep some of the stories you hold of him, so Gary can live on in thought and memory. My thoughts & care are with all of you. love, Annette Bisson Rossi

Syl,Nikki,& Nathan,

Even though I have not seen Gary in a while, I will always remember his smiling face and his great sense of humor. I remember going into Lyle's store and there would be Gary talking with everyone and just as you walked by him he would come out with some joke or comment and get everyone to laughing. He was and is a great person. May you all find comfort in your memories. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Judy and family,
We knew your brother mostly through you and here and there when we lived in Washington. When you married my brother Gino you brought this large loving family into our lives. Gary always greated us as family from that day on. What a smile! We always held our breath waiting until he spoke his piece always ending with a laugh. May your family enjoy the many happy, fun memories of your brother Gary.

Dear Syl and family,

I was so saddened to learn of Gary's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul and one of my very favorite people. I had a long visit with him at Hannaford a couple of weeks ago and he was telling me all about his health woes but also about his grandchildren and how precious they were to Syl and him. After we chatted, I helped him find the cheese whiz. I am so glad I got to spend time visiting with him. He was much loved and will be missed. My heart goes out to all of you. May your good memories sustain you now and later.

Sincerely,
Renee (Webster) Richardson
