Remembering you fondly today, Frenchy. I think of you very, very often and especially remember all those great times on the golf course. I laugh when I remember you were Jeanne's "winter" and "concert" friend....and you were my "golf" friend. :)
Miss you my friend...very much.

Thinking of you, Frenchy, as the Easter holiday approaches along with the one year anniversary of your passing.
I've thought about you hundreds of times, my friend. I know most of my memories of you revolve around the time we spent on the golf course. While I can't play golf right now due to my shoulder issues - I remember so fondly all the times we spent on the course. Of all those times back in the day when I (a female) wasn't allowed on the golf course before 11 AM because I might "slow things down". You would always find a way to get me on the course - - - but you did a lot of lying about my abilities! :)
What I remember most, maybe, is your infinite patience. You were a big factor in my development as a golfer. You spend hours and hours showing me things on the golf course, and then patiently waited and watched as I tried and tried and tried again all the things you were trying to teach me.
One thing I could never rival though - was your intensity on the golf course. ESPECIALLY if you had just hit a bad shot! I've never seen anyone toss a golf club like you could do! You had it perfected to an art form, my friend!
I miss you Frenchy. I've missed golfing with you for a long time. Once you laid down your clubs - you never picked them up again. Not even to ride along on the golf course.
I can understand that now, my friend. Being unable to play, it's nearly too painful to even step on a course. I'd rather hang on to my good memories than try to keep playing with such difficulty.
I miss you Frenchy. I wish you were still here.
I'll be out at the Ohio Western Reserve Military Cemetery soon - and I will be sure to find your resting place and pay my respects in person.
Here's hoping all your drives are right down the center Frenchy. As you would want it!

Frenchy was a wonderful friend to me, and I will miss him very much. The thousands of hours we spent golfing together over many decades are some of my best golfing memories but even better memories of Frenchy himself. From Sunday football gatherings during the Cardiac Kids Cleveland Browns era to the frequent Scotch 2 Ball golf outings at the now defunct Boston Hills.... We sure had some fun.
The last years were challenging for Frenchy, but I know he was thankful for his family and especially his niece Cathy. He constantly told me that she was his angel. I will miss you Frenchy. You were definitely one of a kind and I am grateful you were a big part of my life. I'll always love you my friend.

I am so very sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I knew Gary for 40+ years. I I spent a lot of time with him and the gang playing cards, going on beach vacations and just hanging out. I am glad I have so many wonderful memories with him to reflect upon. May God give your family the peace and comfort that only he can give.
