Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 18, 2025.
Gary John Henderson, age 60, of Keystone Heights, Florida, passed away suddenly on January 27, 2025. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on July 29, 1964.

He graduated John McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia in 1982.

He immediately joined the military and served 8 years in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 1990. After his honorable discharge he started work at Gate Fuel Service in April 1990. He was their Regional Supervisor and served Gate for almost 35 years. Gate was his life. He dedicated almost every moment to Gate. The moments he did not, were dedicated to the care of his mom and to spend time with his girlfriend. Gary loved to eat sweets, fried chicken, and steaks. He was one of the biggest Elvis fans. He was an avid gamer and very competitive when playing any game. He also enjoyed watching sports, including NASCAR, fishing and traveling.

He is survived by his Mother: Margaret Henderson, sisters: Lisa Henderson Burkert and Heather Henderson, nephews: Anthony Perry, Christopher Burkert, Bowie Henderson, niece: Emma Henderson, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial will be held at The Reserve at Pointe Meadows clubhouse 7800 Point Meadows Drive on January 22, 2025 from Noon to 5:00pm for anyone wishing to drop by.

Prayers for the family and his friends ! I have so many memories of him . The first I met my nephew he was 3 months old and my sister came to visit me from Iowa. They finally moved to Florida. We use to bring our nieces and nephews out for the weekend and they loved fishing with Uncle Tom. He loved games and loved to win. I´m going to miss you and you will always be in my heart Love you, Gary !

We are from the same family tree and you were meant to be a part of my life. Remembering the things we did together as kids, puts a smile on my face and happiness in my heart. But I do know within my life, no one can ever take your place.
By blood we are cousins, but by our hearts we'll always be friends. Blessed is how I feel having a cousin like you. You'll always be special to me!
Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean I miss you, until we meet again. I love you so much Gary!

Gary was my cousin and was great fun to hang out with and play games. He will be missed. We will see you again at the card table.

This is my first memory of Gary. Aunt Margaret came to visit with her new son and we got to meet Gary. Then we didn't see him again until they moved down from Iowa.
