Gary Johnson, beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, May 8th, 2022, at the age of 65. He is survived by his mother: Jean Johnson, brothers: Tom, Bob and Rich (Catherine) Johnson, his daughter, Debbie (John) Buckley, his grandchildren: Rourke and Maverick Buckley, and nieces and nephews: Michelle, Erik, Zack, Christopher, Elaine and Sophia Johnson. He was preceded in death by daughter, Kelly Johnson, and his father, August Johnson.
Gary proudly served in the U.S. Airforce from 1975 to 1979. Gary was a resident of Hilton Head Island, SC and enjoyed fishing, target practice and swimming. He was a friend to everyone and had the best, most contagious laugh in the world. He was an incredible dad, who didn't let a day go by without saying to his daughters: "do your best, never give up, and don't forget I'm crazy about you". We are so crazy about you, and will miss you greatly!
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Gary's honor to the National Organization for Rare Disorders: https://rarediseases.org/donate/
