Gary Alan Johnson

Gary Allen Johnson, Born June 12, 1949 to Willis and Francis Johnson in Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2022 after a long, strong battle with cancer at the age of 73. Loving husband to Jayne Johnson. Loving Father to Chad Johnson, Dwayne Johnson, Dusten Johnson, and Tammie Johnson. Caring stepfather to the late Michael Smith. Adoring grandfather to Arik Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Alyssa Rodriguez, Sabrina Papia, Destinee Papia, Jasmine Rodriguez, & Alexus Lopez. Proud oldest brother to Randy Johnson, Gail Everts, Kathy Doyle & Todd Kirchenberg. He is further survived by many other family and friends.

Gary was a proud veteran of the US Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran, including aiding with the evacuation and fall of Saigon. He received many medals and honors during his service. After many years of commitment to making sure his customers were always satisfied he retired from Poblacki Paving Company in 1999 to enjoy a new life with his wife Jayne in Shawnoo, WI. He was a man who enjoyed a good game of cards, cribbage, and a beer at his local pub.

Honor Ceremony will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial in Union Grove, WI November 7th at 3:00pm in the Pavillion
