I was a new nurse and Gary took care of everything. He was a Teacher and a leader. He taught me how to work in the hospital. An amazing human being

Dear Debra, I see how you grieve the loss of your beloved Gary. Know that no one could have given him more devoted companionship and help through this past year. I hope the love of friends and your children carry you through the days ahead. We love you. Karin

I knew Gary very well at Prep. We were in all of our classes together in freshman year and in many more over the next three years. Gary became a good friend in those days our friendship continued when we both attended Fairfield U. We haven't seen each other since but over the years I have always thought fondly of him and other close classmates from those days. Gary was a great, fun-loving guy and yes a complete sports expert. Most of what I learned about anything involving the NFL, NCAA sports or horse racing I got from Gary.

Rest in Peace old friend - You had a life well lived and touched many lives in wonderful ways-

Gary was my absolute best friend over the 4 years at Fairfield Prep. We went to many Prep sporting events together, double dated at our senior prom, did our homework in the school cafeteria before class, and were know to play some "21" (for money) before class. Life took us in different directions, but we did have a phone conversation about 25 years ago where we spoke to each other like we still saw each other often. I tried to convince him to attend our 50th high school reunion, to no avail. I am sure he touched many lives in a positive way, because that's who he was. He will never be forgotten. I have attached his Prep yearbook picture.

Gary was an awesome guy. He had a great rapport with staff and the residents he provided programs for. He was avid fan of the NCCA´s Men Basketball Tournament. He taught me the fundamentals of Football. To Deb and other family members, you have my deepest condolences. I suspect Gary is already keeping an eye on the Men´s College Basketball Games, waiting for the conclusion of the season, so he can make his final selections, anticipating the Final 4 selections. The Golden Gates stood open, God saw you needed rest, his garden must be beautiful he only takes the best. He put his arms around you "come to rest."

Debra, Rick and I are so happy to have been able to share the last ten years with Gary (and you) as neighbors.
Gary could always make us laugh no matter what-and boy could eat a good breakfast!! Not to say our backyard gathering weren´t so shabby either!!
He grew the best tomatoes that we were happy to share, and it was fun watching him watch his garden grow!
He will truly be missed, but we´re so happy he´s at peace. We´re hoping you will find peace in the coming days also.
Love, Rick and Joanne
