Mr. Richmond was my 7th grade science teacher. I thought it was funny he always called me by my last name. I'll miss Mr. Richmond.

Gary Richmond was so kind and helpful to me. After my husband (his great uncle) died several years ago here in Georgia, he really impressed me with his knowledge and skill. He was able to install my cell phone to work through my car radio! To an old lady in her 80´s it was a miracle. To Gary it was a piece of cake. He was such a good guy. His grandparents and family in the North Georgia Mountains were so proud of how smart and studious he was. His mother and I will miss him so very much.

I'm a past student of Mr. Richmond. He was my science teacher at Jardine middle school and he was wonderful and inspired me to be me and do my best. I have lots of amazing memories of him and my favorites would always be me doing my classwork the "non-traditional" way and him acknowledging me as a valid way to solve something. I'll miss you quite a lot man.

I taught with G Rich at JArdine Middle School. He was a very intelligent, caring, and reserved guy. And could make you laugh always. He worked MANY hours at the school to organize an amazing after school program. I´ve missed him daily since he left. Gary, you were very loved by your JArdine Family! RIP my friend! the picture I added was a "dress like a colleague day". Richmond was our favorite hallway buddy!!

Amanda, so sorry for your loss. We (Abellon) appreciate you both for helping and assisting our Violet´s non dairy and eggless cake. Gary was an amazing teacher, colleague and friend. Offered a lot of help when I was struggling with my visa, helped and offered assistance with my little ones. He will surely be missed.

I got to work with Gary for a short time at Amazon. I knew him as an intelligent and objective thinker with a reserved wit who could make me cackle when least expected. Gary and I had a running joke where we would refer to eachother by the wrong names, much to the confusion of everyone around us. Gregory, you will be missed!

I was one of Gary´s closest friends in middle school at Hope Lutheran. We were both nerdy so got along. He was super smart, witty, and very loyal to his friends. Gary was most in his element as I can remember camping out with his father Gary Sr. We shared lots of fun times shooting bottle rockets in the west bottoms of the Kansas river and having long odd conversations about random school things when in high school. I´ll say a prayer of Gods peace over his whole family. I´ll miss him! Matt Stohs

Mr. Richmond was definitely one of the most memorable teachers I had in my entire time schooling. He was witty, funny, and was super cool to a nerdy middle schooler like me, despite his reserved demeanor. I think that anyone who works with middle schoolers has to have a special kind of humor, and he definitely had it.
He will be greatly missed. I hope all of his loved ones know how much he touched every single one of his students, even in ways that seemed insignificant at the time.

I had the pleasure of training Gary when he started his TOM Team journey at Amazon and to this day I use his famous line of, "I drive truck" when I train new associates. He was great and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

I remember Gary coming to our house in Texas with a group of cousins & friends & staying with us a few days. He was the one who offered help & carried out the trash & other helpful things. That was when he and Amanda were very young & did not know they would fall in love

My absolute favorite memory of gary...was when we both got labor shared to MCI5 and he just looks at me and said they sent you too God I hate this place. Working along side him for the past year has been a pleasure and he will be missed by all of us at FOE1.

Something i´ll always remember about Mr.Richmond was his love for science, and learning. Mr.Richmond was my home room and science teacher in seventh grade, and was a very prominent role model in my middleschool years.
He was so funny, and genuinely cared about his classes, his students, and that we had fun while learning. His class was my favorite for these reasons and so many more, and he really sparked an interest in the science world for me which i´ll always be thankful to him for. He is such a memorable person for so many reasons, and I hope I can take part in carrying on his memory too.
My thoughts go out to his family, friends, and loved ones. He will be missed so much. He was a terrific man.

Mr Richmond taught my 7th and 8th grade science classes. He was a great teacher and made science engaging, and always had something funny or witty to say. The 8th grade class was kind of a rowdy bunch, but his class was still the best. I´ll always remember him taking his snake, Slinky out as we did our work. I will always remember him as one of my favorite teachers.

My first memory of Gary outside being a random person student teaching in my anatomy class... Was taking him and my mom home from the bar after parent teacher conferences. For some reason he was pretending like he was kidnapping her and but his co-over her head and threw her into the van. I have no clue what was happening but it was hilarious.

Gary Richmond II Obituary
My best friend, Gary Douglas Richmond II, died December 17, 2023. Gary lived in Kansas most of his life but was born in Texas on May 26, 1983. While he only lived there briefly, he loved annoying me by saying he was a native Texan and would... Read Gary Richmond II's Obituary
