I´m so sorry to hear of Gary´s passing. I remember well, while camping with GV friends, hearing of his skydiving accident on the radio. In spite of his severe injuries, he fought back as only Gary could do and continued fighting his whole life. I got in touch with him several years ago and had hoped to see him (and you) at a GV homecoming. I have many fond memories of Gary while at Grand Valley, many comical and some serious, and will hold them dear to my heart until we meet again when my time here has come to an end. Rest In Peace my friend. Prayers to you Vanessa as well as your family.

Vanessa,
I wanted to send my condolences to you and your family in the loss of Gary. I was so sorry to learn about this today from Dave Parsons. I had planned on going to the celebration at GVSU when they opened the new wreseling facility because I new Gary would be there but missed it. I spoke to a few friends who wer at the ceremony and they had a chance to speak with him. Although we did not stay in touch over the years, I always considered him a good friend. I saw a video os when he was inducted in the Hall of Fame in wresteling and was impressed with his message. I trust that the two of you had a great life together as I know how much he cared about you back in colleger.
