Gary "Gus" SAUNDERS

We were most saddened yesterday morning to learn of the passing of "Farmer Gus". Gus was a very large part of our son's childhood and the three of us have such special forever memories. Our son Benjamin is now 26 years old living in Taiwan teaching English but he was a MAJOR fan of Joan, Gus, Polly Pumpkin, Buddy the Goat and their Pumpkin Ranch. We have such treasured memories and photos of our time with them, including a most wonderful Christmas Nativity walk. Gus always had a sparkle in his eye. He was a true gentleman and the world will be a lesser place without him in it. Our condolences to Joan and the family. We sent a message this morning to our son in Pingtung. He wrote back:

"Very sad indeed". His farm was a big part of my childhood. It's always touching to see the outpouring of condolences whenever someone important in the community dies. He'll be remembered by so many."

Gus was an important part of the community, on a lot of levels. He will me missed.
