Gary was one of the toughest & best SHEETROCK STOCKERS I EVER HAD THE PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. HE WAS AWESOME AND ONE OF GOD'S BEST CREATIONS! REST IN PEASE MY FRIEND

1 year ago tonight was the worst night of my life. I had to say goodbye to my friend for life, my love, Gary. Things that remind me of him are seeing a beautiful rock mountain and remembering how he taught me about its formation and composition. Everytime I see a Hostess cherry pie I will remember that he would sometimes bring one home over the years because we ate them anytime we traveled. I will always remember early on when he told me I was so beautiful I'd look good wearing a burlap sack. He was a quiet man but sometimes he'd surprise me by our depth of conversations about Christ. I love him and forever will be grateful for him being my husband.

He was so brave, even when faced with pain and death he kept his wonderful sense of humor and was very grateful even when we had to do things to him that I know were uncomfortable and sometimes humiliating. He would thank us and give that cheesy Gary smile. A very strong man indeed. It was an honor to watch him love his family during his last days on earth and I know The Lord is enjoying his jokes right now. It´s not good bye to say but see you later in the Land where there is no more pain or tears and eternity with our Jesus!

I loved my Brother Gary. Our lives kept us apart over the. Years but we kept in contact.
I was proud of the many accomplishments he had, and the man he was.He loved his Wife and Children and Grand children. He had a dry interesting humour. He loved the Lord and shared it with others. I will miss him.

I have to wonder what Gary is doing in Heaven now. In reality, he´s praising and worshipping the one true God he loved, honoured, and served with his whole being. In my imagination, I wonder if he´s reading an educational book (most likely the Bible!) or or telling everyone about his loving wife, children, and grandkids!

Gary was a teacher in and of life, even without his university education. One doesn´t learn about love, steadfastness, responsibility, patience, and other values needed in life by reading a book (except the Bible.) We learn best by example, by watching others show these values every single day, which motivates and inspires us to to make the right choices in life. Gary was consistent in being that motivator, inspiration, and example.

He could also make you crack up with one liners or stories, while he was wearing his best poker face!

I rejoice with Gary´s family and friends that are assured he is with God, and he is where he longed to be. I also grieve with them at our loss, and pray for peace, comfort, guidance, wisdom, and patience. Grief is an individual, as well as a collective emotion.

Thank you God, for giving us all the gift of Gary.

Gary was in my life since I was a little girl. I was in his and Kristy´s wedding. As I grew up, I loved to spend time with the whole family. Two of my favorite things when I was younger and would stay with Gary and Kristy, was the fireplace and Gary made the best coffee with yummy creamer! I also remember ask him to write thing out because his hand writing was like a type writer. I also love that he got his teaching degree and we would swap stories about our crazy classes. Just little memories that pop up as I think about Gary
He will be missed.

I tell this story often because when Gary and I first met neither of us was interested in the other. He was too old and serious for me. I was too young and flighty for him. But God, God knows the heart of a person. I got to know Gary, his past, his strengths and challenges and found he was a hidden treasure. We were married about 13 months later. We enjoyed 32 years together. I am so blessed that he chose to share his life with me. I am all the richer for it.
