Gary Sleight Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 18, 2025.
Dansville - Gary Arnold Sleight passed away on December 17, 2025, in Dansville, New York, just days before his 82nd birthday. Born on December 25, 1943, in Hornell, New York, Gary lived a life marked by dedication to his work and devotion to his family.

For over four decades, Gary worked as a machinery operator for Coldspring Construction. His 43-year tenure with the company reflected not only his strong work ethic but also his steadfast commitment to providing for those he loved. His career was a source of pride and stability, and he approached each day with diligence and purpose.

Gary's life was deeply rooted in family. He shared many years with his beloved wife Carol, who preceded him in death. Together they raised four children: Billy, George, Lynne, and Gary. Though Lynne and Billy also passed before him, their memories remained close to Gary's heart throughout his life.

He is survived by his sons George (Ann) and Gary (Bobbie), who carry forward his legacy of strength and perseverance. Gary also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren-Dustin, Andrew, Megan, Matthew, Dillion, Ziggy, Haydn, and Emma-and seven great-grandchildren who brought joy to his later years.

Gary's presence will be missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he held dear. Calling hours will be held on December 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM at Mann's Funeral Home, Inc. 44 North State Street, Nunda, NY. A service will be held at 1:00

Gary and family,
Sorry to hear of your father's passing. I know he was proud of the man you became sharing his same work ethics and love of family. He was welcomed thru heavens gate by those he lost and knew he was blessed having your family in his life till the end.
