Gary Don Starr Sr.

I want to add my complete shock about our loss of my friend Gary!
I talked with him numerous times at Home Depot about Vietnam and many fascinating subjects that he was so knowledgeable about!
I was going to see him today at Home Depot and was so saddened to get the tragic news!
May God be with him and his family and his countless friends.....

Holding my extended family close at heart today and sending lots of love your way! Gary Don will be missed so much, and I know it's a blessing for you all to be together in this time of sorrow.

Rather than flowers, I've chosen to make a gift to the Cherokee Nation in Gary's honor. May we all walk in balance as we celebrate Gary Don's life and wish him well during his crossing over. Love and light!

Deepest sympathies, condolences, and love to all my cousins and Gary Don's wider family. I remember when I was 19 or 20, going through a kind of existential crisis of identity, and sent Gary Don a letter about his research into our Cherokee history. He sent me the most wonderful letter in return which went a long way, I realize now, in putting me on the path I'm on today.
