Gary Lee Stewart

Eugene - Gary Lee Stewart peacefully passed away from congenital heart disease on August 27 surrounded by his wife and kids. Gary was born on August 4, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska and his family moved to Eugene when he was a year old. He grew up in the River Road area of Eugene and graduated from South Eugene High School in 1959. Gary remained close with many of his fellow classmates throughout his life. He spent most of his career in outside sales and was respected by his coworkers and customers. Gary especially loved spending time with his family and friends, fishing, playing Keno, and rooting for his beloved Ducks. He was preceded in death by his father Frank, his mother Eileen, and his brother, Robert. He is survived by his sister Linda, wife of 55 years, Vicki, his daughter Amy, his son Chris, his grandson Kingston and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Gary's Life on Sunday, October 5, from 1:00-400 p.m. at The Country Inn, 4100 County Farm Road. Gary's family requests that everyone come wearing their favorite team colors.
