Our family was deeply saddened to hear of Gary’s recent passing. We met Gary over 10 years ago through our very dear friend Valerie Davis. After initially meeting Gary, we instantly knew he would also become a dear friend of our family as well. He was warm, kind, and most of all giving to all those who would receive his kindness. We feel so fortunate to have known a wonderful man like Gary. He taught us so much as a person and we will never forget our precious time with him. Friends like Gary are few in life and it is with a heavy heart that we also grieve with your loss. We sincerely hope that God will continue to give all of his friends and family comfort during this most difficult time.
Dear Gary…
“What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.”

Gary was my beloved best friend and fiance for over 22 years.
Gary and I moved to Arizona to start our new life together and enjoy the sunshine. He also leaves behind two cherished four legged friends, Taz and Harry who miss him very much.
Gary received news of his illness in June of 2010, and went home to be with Jesus on August 14, after giving his very best effort to overcome this horrible disease.
Gary's last days were spent surrounded by his loving extended family in Arizona. He went to barbeques, enjoyed music, laughed alot and of course, he wathched his beloved Yankees. He cherished his friends and family and sent messages of love to each one individually during these last few months. Gary touched so many lives during the final months, so much so that his Dr., her staff and patients kept calling to send codolences and share stories of how he gave them so much hope because of his great faith in Jesus and through his smiles and words of hope.
I love Gary very much and wish all of his family peace and comfort.

Annie and Jim,
I was shocked to hear of Gary's sudden illness. I can't believe he is gone. I have fond memories of the street football games we would play as well as baseball and football games in the "Lot'! Wishing you well in this difficult time.
